About a month ago I was trying to finish some papers/essays for uni and my computer just died. I put it back on and windows said it had recovered from a serious error. I decided to restart. Big mistake. Windows XP took about two hours to boot, all the while giving me error messages. I tried to restart again but the computer wouldn't come back on. Apparantly my hard drive had lots of physical errors. After an untold number of calls to customer service I am finally told I can have a new hard drive free. "Great" I said. "I'll order you one now" the voice said. "Fantastic" I said. I am put on hold. Then comes the bad news. "You can have one....as soon as we have one". Three weeks later they have one. Another week a guy comes to fit it. Then he tells me, "I've ordered you an update disk, you won't be able to use the computer until it arrives".

It turns out, as a security measure, the manufacturer of my computer decided not to give me a winxp cd, instead the setup files are on a hidden partition on the hard drive, so I have to wait for a cd to arrive which contains all the standard drivers etc. Now finally, I have an operational computer again.

I also got myself a new camera. I am a complete novice with it as it's a lot more complicated than my old one. So heres to a lot of scraps!

well this is the first time I have used this. I got news of an eclipse happening which should have been visible over my house. What should have been visible is a very orange, dusty, full moon. I was expecting to have some greats shots of it to maybe start my collection off here. Right now it's 1:38am and the cloud cover is so thick I literally can't tell where in the sky the moon actually is.
